Submitting an ILL Request: The Process

How do I know if we subscribe to a journal?

start out with the KIND OF ITEM you want

Here, where alll of your requests will appear, is the navigation menu. (See the nested navigation bar with red headings on the left.) Start by clicking down to the kind of item you're after, under "New Request":

Journal article?

Book?

Book chapter? Something else?

next, DESCRIBE your item (Title, author, etc.)

Some of this information is required, and some of it isn't. In general, we want as much information as you might include in a citation. We are working on streamlining these forms, but in the meantime, remember that articles require more nested information to locate accurately than books do! when in doubt, please ask the reference librarian, Patrick.

What happens next

Once you click submit, we will receive your information. As a 

Articles are usually processed electronically. Depending on different library policies, workload , and other factors, turnaround can range between hours and weeks.
