SAVE THE DATE!! Meet us at the library for the SECOND ANNUAL Magale Fest on March 29, 2025!

Join us for the second annual Magale Fest on March 29th from 1-3 PM at Centenary College’s JF Magale Memorial Library!Magale Fest (March 29, 2025) celebrates libraries as hubs for lifelong learning and community building in a festive atmosphere featuring multiple family-friendly activities, including art making, live music and sing-alongs, an education student-led reading corner featuring a bean bag pit, a free all-genres (including kids’ reads) book swap, face painting, opportunities to get great swag (special bookmarks and tote bags), and even food trucks from great local spots like Cajun Asian. Magale Fest will also feature interactive exhibits from Walter B Jacobs Wildlife Refuge (featuring live animals), Shreve Memorial Library, Sci-Port, and the Shreveport Aquarium, as well as interesting offerings from Centenary departments and student groups. 

 

Celebrate libraries and learning in a festive atmosphere featuring live music, a book swap focused on kids’ reads, food and beverages from great local food trucks, and carnival-style games and activities!

                           
What's happening at Magale Fest?

  • Food from some great local vendors, including Cajun Asian and Dripp Donuts
  • Used book swap inside Magale Library
  • DNA-inspired student art installation from the Biology program
  • Live Music from Centenary students and other talented guests here at Magale Library
  • Interactive exhibits featuring games and activities provided by the Shreve Memorial Library (Broadmoor Branch), student groups like Centenary's Chi Omega chapter, and Centenary academic departments like English
