Meet us at the library for the first-ever Magale Fest on March 9, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.!

Celebrate libraries and learning in a festive atmosphere featuring live music, a book swap focused on kids’ reads, food and beverages from great local food trucks, and carnival-style games and activities!

What's happening at Magale Fest?

  • Food from some great local vendors, including Cajun Asian and Dripp Donuts
  • Beer and wine sales (for those 21 and older) provided by Shreveport's Thrifty Liquor
  • Used book swap inside Magale Library
  • DNA-inspired student art installation from the Biology program
  • Live Music from Centenary alumna A.J. Haynes and other talented guests in Centenary's iconic Hargrove Memorial Amphitheatre (also known as The Shell)
  • A team-based lip synching competition (watch this space for sign ups, coming soon!)
  • Two Festival pavilions on Centenary's beautiful Quad, featuring games and activities provided by the Shreve Memorial Library (Broadmoor Branch), student groups like Centenary's Chi Omega chapter, and Centenary academic departments like English
